PwC said the deal will see its workers and clients gain access to the latest tools from OpenAI, including ChatGPT-4o and new capabilities on voice and image.'' CNBC.com --- I have recently read posts surrounding the use of OpenAI and the impact it will have on consulting along with recruitment also. Whilst there will be huge opportunity, (in my opinion) there will always be a requirement for a specialist human centred service to ensure solutions are tailored along with the ability to contextualise technology solutions into business value for C-level stakeholders. You would expect that with the use of OpenAI you can leverage the information quickly, however 'decoding' / implementing the 'solution' into your business will always require use of specialists. We need specialists to explain to us what OpenAI is and what the capabilities are and across industries, the usage will be different, amongst many other differentiators. In recruitment, it can certainly improve/ support various areas however the culture, personality and individual elements required to understand if the profile is right for your organisation ultimately need filtering with a human centred approach. The cliche 'people buy people' is key in this instance. Can it help in identifying, mapping... certainly. (amongst other areas too I am sure..) Admittedly, I do not know the full capabilities of OpenAI but I am excited at what OpenAI can offer us and only time will tell its impact/ overall benefit.

KPMG merges UK and Switzerland business to form a £3.4 billion professional services group. The new LLP bringing together the two firms will be led by Jonathan Holt as Group CEO (currently KPMG UK CEO) along with Stefan Pfister as Group Deputy CEO (currently CEO of KPMG Switzerland) with plans to launch officially on 1st October 2024. ''KPMG UK, which has about 18,000 employees, reported £2.96 billion in revenue in the year ended September 2023. The Swiss arm employs over 2,600 people and reported net revenues of 527 million francs ($576 million) last year.''
