Planning for next year? How do you make sure your priorities are focused on what will truly drive impact for your business? As the year wraps up, we’re all thinking about next year’s priorities, whether it’s scaling growth, improving customer retention, reducing CAC, increasing conversions, or driving innovation, etc With so much going on, frameworks can be super helpful in making sense of all the KPIs, metrics, and goals. Product and Customer Experience teams are particularly good at using frameworks to stay focused and get results. I’d love to hear what you think of these frameworks or if you’re using any of them already. Here are a few frameworks from Reforge, one of the top sources in the industry, that I think are worth checking out: 🎯OKRs: we all surely know OKRs by now—and they’re still a staple for good reason. They help keep teams focused on big goals, but they require a bit of know-how to get right. For example, when LinkedIn launched Sales Navigator in 2014, they used OKRs to stay on track and ended up with a 45% increase in revenue that year. 🔭 NCTs: if your team is missing context or struggling to figure out what to do next, NCTs (Narrative, Commitment, and Task) can help. This framework helps teams break down strategic initiatives with clarity. Tripadvisor uses this one. 🧭 MSPOTs: need to rally your team around a vision but still give them room to own their work? MSPOTs (Mission, Strategy, Plays, Omission, Targets) are great for that. It breaks down high-level goals into more specific, actionable targets, so everyone’s on the same page. ⚓V2MOMs: if you're looking for strong top-down alignment, V2MOMs (Vision, Values, Methods, Obstacles, Measures) have you covered. Amazon and Nextdoor use them to align their entire teams around a clear direction. It starts with leadership, but everyone in the company creates their own V2MOM to stay aligned. At Zefi, we use OKRs, but we built Zefi.ai to fit all these methodologies by providing insightful data that helps teams make smarter decisions. It gives you the context you need to prioritize and focus on what truly matters while surfacing actionable insights from customer interactions.
