Another M&A deal in logistics; DSV to create global logistics giant with $15.9 billion Schenker takeover. The acquisition will be the biggest by a Danish company and, according to DSV, propel it above DHL Logistics and Swiss group Kuehne und Nagel (KNIN.S), in both volume and revenue, but will still only give the group between 6% and 7% of a highly fragmented global logistics market. A bipartisan group of U.S. lawmakers have proposed a new law to restrict a trade provision, favored by retailers such as Temu and Shein, that lets goods flow in from China with little scrutiny and no duties. The bill, released Thursday, would block textiles and apparel from being imported through what is known as the de minimis provision. It also would establish a fee of $2 per shipment for goods that aren’t banned from entering via this route. https://lnkd.in/gAEw2kUS

The Court of Appeal in Paris has recently handed down rulings in three separate cases – all of which concern the French Law on the Duty of Vigilance. The French Law on the Duty of Vigilance is similar to the New CS3D. Following these rulings, claims of violations of the rights of indigenous peoples abroad, and of failure to take measures to mitigate risks or prevent serious harm in connection with the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions will be considered on their merits by the courts under the French Law on the Duty of Vigilance. #CS3D #sustainability https://lnkd.in/gyQEZNAU
