As three of 100 shooters, they enjoyed a scenic fall day at Highlands Sporting Clays, with the event raising more than $50,000 for children and families. Pressley Ridge supports youth, individuals and families through life’s challenges with a full continuum of mental health services, foster care, residential treatment, and specialized education programs. Zimmer Kunz is honored to serve Pressley Ridge as a client and was proud to take part in the event, continuously supporting their mission in serving communities who need it most.

Attorney Aaron Weiss will be speaking about the History of Beer in Western PA at the upcoming Barrel & Flow Festival on Friday, August 9, 2024. Aaron’s topic is titled “the History of Beer in Western PA and the Laws that Shaped It” and will provide an overview of the important history beer played in Pennsylvania as well as the impact Pennsylvania has made on American Beer. This will cover topics including brewing at Fort Pitt during the French & Indian War, prohibition, and Pennsylvania’s past, present, and future breweries. In addition to Friday’s conference, the Beer Festival will take place on Saturday, August 10, 2024 in the Strip District of Pittsburgh. Zimmer Kunz is pleased to announce that Dara DeCourcy, Joseph Selep, George Stewart, John Zotter, Joseph Butcher and Greg Scheuring have been selected as 2024 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers©, and Aaron Weiss has been once again recognized as a Pennsylvania Rising Star©. The Super Lawyer designation entails a peer review nomination process, supplemented by third party research to establish high ethical standards and accomplishments of the nominees. According to the Pennsylvania Super Lawyers magazine only five percent of lawyers in the state can earn the Super Lawyer distinction. The Rising Star designation recognizes young lawyers who are forty years of age or younger or who have been practicing less than ten years. According to the magazine, only two and a half percent of young lawyers earn the Rising Star designation.

Congratulations to Attorney Aaron Weiss on his dismissal of a lawsuit in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court for defective service. This new ruling will hopefully help future defendants in challenging defective service that was either served untimely or by means other than the sheriff, as required.
