Over the past year, Spencer Dinwiddie 's most notable business moves have revolved around cryptocurrencies. Last summer, the 27-year-old sold basketball star digital tokens that represent a stake in his NBA contract. Then, he invested in Dapper Labs , one of the more notable companies leveraging the advent of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), particularly through sales of digital NBA highlights. Later, he founded Calaxy , a Blockchain-based app for creators and influencers, and the latest of his many ventures. In an interview with LinkedIn News' Joseph Milord , Dinwiddie explains why cryptocurrencies are at the heart of some of his tech investments, and how he relates to Silicon Valley more than the sports world.
