Tesla CEO Musk tweeted a $35,000 price for the Model 3 — with caveats. The price, discounted by $1,100, includes “what the company says is $3,750 in still-existing tax credits” and thousands of dollars in gas savings, reports The Wall Street Journal. The electric-car maker has been struggling to lower the price of its mass-market sedan as the U.S. eliminates a popular tax credit for the vehicles.

Not a mass market car. Its a $50K car BEFORE the "incentitves" such as tax credits and gas considerations over a decade. We can all assume that this price point does not cater to the "mass market" that we were all sold on years ago ($35K).
