Tonight's NYC HR Strategic Analytics Meetup was awesome! Creatively titled "Workestration", the content helped us step outside traditional thinking and really start to think deeply about how work gets done. Huge thank you to David Green 🇺🇦 of Insight222 for moderating an incredible panel: Annie Dean, Team Anywhere, Atlassian Brydie Lear, People Analytics and Insights, Expedia Group Chris Butler, Founder and CEO, One Model This session was the most jam packed with incredible thought-provoking content as I have been to in a very long time. A few takeaways (of the many): Chris kicked off things with an incredible presentation showcasing the latest innovations One Model is doing with the use of AI and in particular Agentic AI. Beyond "simpler" uses of #AI to serve as a chatbot, Chris talked about the latest thinking and work the One Model team is doing to develop AI Agents that performs super complex data engineering and other tasks to help scale people analytics from the ground up. This transformational approach will help #PeopleAnalytics teams do more, go faster, and broader than ever before. The outcome being to massively accelerate the ability for companies to fully adopt a data driven decision making approach to people decisions and the impact on business outcomes. Annie talked about the confluence of people, work and place: "We need to deal with how to work problems, not where to work problems". Annie spoke about the importance of rethinking how work gets done in your company, making changes and testing these to assess the impact and embed change. Important also is to create a culture of writing and recording content to better leverage AI and then use AI to create more time for your people to spend thinking deeply and working together in meaningful ways, not wasting time in 30 minute meeting blocks through out the day and not achieving anything. Brydie spoke to the wonderful opportunity for technology and AI in accelerating the ability for HR and managers in the company to adopt and use data. It can also help People Analytics teams. PA teams are spending too much time doing one time work, eg writing up manual insights for the exec team. But where to start, you might want to think about setting up strong governance - sounds boring, but helps you effectively leverage new technologies by being able to properly evaluate new products and good governance can actually help you go faster. Thank you to the organizers Stela Lupushor, Jeremy Shapiro, Philip Arkcoll, Ian OKeefe, Ekta Lall Mittal
