If there is one sentence I have lived with for most of my childhood and truly dislike with a passion in my adulthood, it's the sentence "be strong..." How many times have you told someone to "be strong" in a moment of stress, sadness, confusion? You could actually be doing more harm than good even if your intentions are great and your heart is in the right place. In this video I use the example of a friend, not just any friend, a male friend. I highlight their gender because for a man, "being strong" is just expected of them. It's a conversation I keep having and one that needs to be continued. Seeking help, leaning on someone, talking to someone isn't weak... it's courageous, it's powerful and it's relieving. An alternative... "I'm here". AG #authenticalex #Imhere
Important video Alexandra. Telling someone, that's depressed or weak for whatever reason, to be strong is like telling someone who breaks their leg to heal it. It's strong to be weak and open about it. We are all just humans. All humans are strong and weak.
Sometimes being strong means showing compassion. We can all at one time or another need that moment when the only option is to be strong.
I agree with you Alexandra... This advice is especially needed for males who are taught to be strong! Blessings and Prayers to you and your family...🙏
You are so right !!!
Fantastic message. Normally I contribute more to the post in my reaction, but this one is as complete as it can be.
Agree..You all too have a great week ahead.

7yI love your video and your message. Being vulnerable and in touch with your emotions, that is being strong!
