Woke up this morning, walked to a coffee shop and what do I see? My mentor Heather Brunner featured in this Austin American-Statesman story about Austin’s surging tech and VC investment scene. Heather led WP Engine to a $250 million funding round from Silver Lake Partners announced in early 2018, one of the largest funding deals in Austin tech history and one of the largest ever for a company with a female CEO. Needless to say, I don’t have to look far for inspiration.
Hats off, Heather - so awesome to see you, your company, and your leadership getting the recognition they deserve! 💯
Inspiring leader!
I expect nothing less than pure awesomeness from Heather Brunner!
Mentors are hard to find!
#awesomeness
And great to have Heather active in Limerick with #wpengine

6yVery interesting. Can I put the lens of diversity on this? While I will always support the work on individuals continue to make an impact in the community. Let's not be naive to think that the VC will bridge a large gap to capital to minority start-ups. You write about your journey to secure capital, but a very hard truth still emerges, there is not true bridge for African American and Hispanics for top VC dollars. Mentors are great... But more is "golden" Thanks,
