Headed to #SXSW? I just made a video about some of the beautiful places within a day's drive from Austin. But that's not the point of this post. The fascinating aspect of this video is how I made it. I simply typed this prompt into Wochit's new AI video generation tool: "Top five easy day trips from Austin for visitors to SXSW who want to see more of Texas" And a few minutes later this is what it sent me. No filter, no edits. If I did want to make some edits, that's super easy as well. This new GenAI video generation tool could change everything. Imagine feeding it the top headlines from Creator Hooks, or today's top trending hashtags from TikTok - and then auto posting them to social video platforms (spoiler, it doesn't do tall videos yet). I've tried a lot of GenAI video tools. They are interesting, but not there yet (in their defense, most of them are still in alpha or beta). But Wochit has almost 10 years of auto-generating video based on text input, so it has a big leg up on the competition. When you DO want to edit, the interface is easy to understand, the formats are breezy and attractive, there's loads of source material and everything just looks good. I'll be posting a few more of my favorite videos here over the next few days. But you should try it out yourself at "wochit.ai". After the Bingpocalypse, it's good to see a great and positive use of GenAI. Hats off to Dror Ginzberg and the Wochit team. (disclosure, I was on the Wochit advisory board for a bit, but that was 7 years ago!) Oh, and I'll see you at SXSW! Can't wait! #ai #video #creatoreconomy
These are incredible words Jim. I'm excited to see how this technology will continue to improve and enhance the content creation process. As an employee of Wochit, it's great to be a part of a company that is always pushing the boundaries of innovation in the video creation space.
Where does wochit.ai pull the video clips from that were used as b-roll here? I am assuming the images themselves are not AI generated the way AI generated art is a somewhat original image. Regardless, this is really impressive. Assuming the video clips are not completely AI generated, I wonder if this will prompt more businesses to build databases filled with stock footage to be used in quick, AI generated videos.
This is timely! I am literally here, snowed in, and putting my snowed-in-14-year-old on this issue (who’s also conveniently facing a research paper deadline on something related to AI tools)
Whoa. While it's not winning any awards, it's good enough to convince me that I might want to go to Big Bend.
That's wild. It took me five minutes to make and post my first video.
This is lovely! Chenae Bullock
WOW Subscribing 100%. it looks like Canva for video.
Nice vid, Jim! Thx for the prompt and sharing the love 🤗
