#MAConferenceforWomen was a ball! I met some WONDERFUL people. A highlight was serving on a panel with Amanda Morgan, Carmen Arce, and Jamie Haney. Thank you for being such fabulous co-panelists. And, Sue Tabb thank you for being a wonderful moderator. Our panel talked about navigating new environments. I shared how you can create your own "NEW". What does that mean? Many people think that you have to leave your current organization in order to chart a new path. That needn't be the case. Try this: 1. Figure out your unique interests and skills. 2. Assess key decision makers and how what you have to offer helps THEM. 3. Identify formal and informal influencers who are on your side who can pollinate the idea. 4. Pitch what you want.
