      After serving as Marketing Coordinator from 1984 - 1986, I was promoted to Director of New Product Development. In this role, I led all phases of product development from idea conception to prototype approval which included extensive travel to the Far East to work with agents and vendors. Sales volume exceeded $23 million. I hired and managed a team of over 50 freelance designers, staff designers and product and marketing managers. An average of 500 new products were introduced annually, and I helped train over 115 manufacturers' sales representatives each season on new product introductions. Additionally, I managed the product development and marketing budgets and led the development of all product catalogs and assisted with merchandising and selling products at national trade shows.
