How can you provide remote user support during a cyber attack?
Troubleshooting remotely often starts with interacting with users verbally on the phone and understanding which tools are appropriate based on the type of incident that is being experienced. Having a standard set of tools to use that have been vetted in advance and are known to be secure allow you to provide support during an event without fear that they may have been part of the initial compromise. Its all about planning, and risk evaluation ahead of time to ensure that you have a clear roadmap for this kind of event.

How can system administrators stay motivated in their careers?
Finding your purpose is complicated in the world of systems administration. In a world so full of black and white, motivation is inherently grey. Motivation typically derives from the joy, or sense of accomplishment knowing that your contributing to something bigger than yourself. I have always found that organizations that rally around IT and admins specifically as the core by which they operate, tend to foster happier administrators because they know their efforts however small allow the organization to run smoothly. The most satisfied administrators and therefore the more motivated ones, take great pride in their departments being invisible. Knowing that your work largely unnoticed means you're ahead of the IT curve which is motivating.

Has not been released on the App Store but the source code is posted.
