Responsibilities
As an Android Developer, you’ll be responsible for:
Write high quality, well architected, modular code which is easy to read and maintain.
Design, develop and lead/co-lead the development of software applications according to established requirements
Debug, diagnose, and fix the problems in developing and existing applications
Follow and improve the software development life-cycle and software development practices of the company
Ensure your code and the application as a whole have excellent automated test coverage.
Ensure the app has a clean, simple and robust architecture to enable various teams to easily contribute code.
Ensure the build and test pipelines are fast and stable.
Provide high quality code reviews for your team and other contributors to the code base.
Work closely with designers to build great UI and a great user experience.
Qualifications
Candidates interested in joining our team should have;
Minimum 2 years hands-on Android development experience in an agile team,
Have published and supported one or more Android apps in the Google Play Store,
Experience with Java & Kotlin programming languages,
Fundamental knowledge of memory, processes, threads, and their relation to programming,
Knowledge of unit and automated testing for Android platforms,
Working with Git version control system, including branching and merging strategies
Experience with HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) is nice to have.
Degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or related field
Data structures, algorithms, and software design knowledge
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Excellent English skills for engineering communication
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Knowledge/experience with iOS and Swift is a plus
