Develop and Produce Creative Marketing Materials, Merchandise and Signage that reflect our values and messaging – lead the design, stakeholder coordination and production of materials, graphics, products and signage that help promote the school and engage our communities.
Manage Vendors and Interns (entry-level staff) – identify, hire and manage design, production and other vendors needed to achieve the above objective.
Demonstrate Initiative and Leadership on all things Design – help develop and advocate for design systems and strategies and spearhead their implementation; track design trends and technology and pilot them regularly to achieve our goals.
Provide Event and Administrative Support - support events and administrative duties as needed.
Develop and manage turnkey design projects with design vendors and maintain a list of design firms and freelancer that deliver high quality and timely design.
Basic qualifications and traits:
Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat DC, Canva, Microsoft 365, other design tools
Minimum of three (3) years of design and project management experience
Be creative and meticulous
Proven ability to efficiently manage several large-scale projects across multiple vendors and departments
Fluency in English and Korean
Positive disposition and team player - considers and acts based on what’s best for the team and project goals
Preferred qualifications and traits:
Experience developing design strategy and systems, and a clear point of view
Proven ability around systems-thinking, solutions-oriented and negotiation skills
Experience working at a school or marketing team
Independent and good attention to detail
Experience supervising interns or entry-level staff
Knowledge of iSAMS a plus
On a given day, a Marketing Executive (Design) will spend time:
Overseeing design and production of handbooks, Yearbook, booklets, magazines, planners, journals, calendar, business cards, university acceptances, brochures, flyers, banners, invites or certificates, to name a few.
Supporting graphics and updates requiring design on our digital channels including but not limited to website and social media channels.
Negotiating with staff who requested design projects and with vendors.
Supporting design and logistics for events, as needed.
Conducting administrative duties around procurement or others, as needed.
