We’re looking for a driven Sustainability Specialist to join our Projects and Sustainability department at WAG. In this role, you’ll develop and implement ESG strategies, monitor and report performance, have a broad network of internal and external stakeholders, and play a hands-on role in bringing sustainability at WAG to the next level.

Whiteaway Group started with a simple idea, a commitment to our customers, and with a passion for digital innovation. Today, we’re a successful retailer, selling and delivering household appliances across Scandinavia. We’re change-makers at heart – it’s the very core of everything we do.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

As a Sustainability Specialist, you will:

  • Develop and implement ESG strategies: Lead the creation and execution of ESG policies and frameworks that align with our business goals.
  • Sustainability integration: Incorporate ESG principles into our operations, from product sourcing to waste management.
  • Monitor and report performance: Analyse, track, and report on ESG metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and other stakeholders to promote ESG initiatives and share progress.
  • Research and benchmarking: Stay informed on ESG trends, regulations, and best practices to maintain our position as an industry leader.
  • Training and advocacy: Educate employees on ESG principles and foster a culture of sustainability and responsibility.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Education: A degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in ESG, sustainability, corporate responsibility, or a related area.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of ESG frameworks, such as GRI and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Skills: Excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills.
  • Passion: A genuine commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

We like to think we have quite an amazing workplace, including:

  • A dynamic and international environment with room for you to be you,
  • Lots of opportunities for your own professional development and for you to make an impact,
  • A flat, informal organisation with a high degree of independence and short decision-making processes,
  • Attractive settings for the job, to mention some: flexible work hours, health care, lunch scheme, Friday breakfast, gym, and great social events.
