Analytical Linguist

Part-time Analytical Linguist

2 days per week.

Location: Austin, TX

The role:

We are looking for an individual with strong communication and organizational skills to assist Linguistic Engineering efforts as a part-time Contractor, Analytical Linguist.

The primary focus of this individual will be to work closely with Senior Computational Linguists to create language data sets for Voice assistant system development by providing high quality annotations and transcriptions.

In addition to the primary data annotation focus, the Contractor will be responsible for presenting analysis and conclusions, to inform the NLU and ASR development process.

Responsibilities:

Data Annotation: Review annotated data for accuracy and conformity to guidelines

Data Annotation: Analyze data and summarize insights.

Data Annotation: Provide feedback to improve current annotation processes, guidelines, strategies, and tools.

Automatic Speech Recognition: Review transcription of audio data

Automatic Speech Recognition: Provide systematic feedback on transcriptions.

Automatic Speech Recognition: Assist in creating data sets for model improvements

What we are looking for:

• Languages: Portuguese, German, French.
• Degree in Linguistic completed or in completion.
• Experience working with language data, systematic work with language data (annotation of datasets or transcription of audio data)
