Artistic Director: In the role of Artistic Director, the individual will work in collaboration with the Executive Director, ensuring the highest level of excellence in all programs and performances. They will create, manage and expand existing programs and diverse performances, while presenting the gospel through created art that moves through high-quality dance instruction, music, creative writing and stimulating performances.
The Artistic Director will assume responsibility for dance company member development, teaching, managing dance staff, dance theatre annual productions, classroom curriculum, developing and planning workshops, master classes, community engagement and outreach programs. The Artistic Director will perform in special events.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance preferred. Previous experience as a Dancer and Artistic Director with no less than 5 years’ Experience in teaching Ballet, Modern, African, Hip-Hop and Creative dance. No less than 5 years’ experience in directing and producing with the ability to work under pressure. Possess leadership and people skills, risk taking, excellent communication skills, management skills, creativity, and strong math ability for budgets and logistics.
Rate of Pay $25 hour, 10 hours a week.
Multiple work locations
Saturday work hours are a must
