Associate, Investment Valuation

Credigy is seeking an Associate to join its Credit -Investment Valuation team in Atlanta, GA. As a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Bank of Canada, Credigy has a mandate to deploy capital across a wide variety of asset classes and geographies and has achieved exceptional growth and strong risk-adjusted returns through financing and principal acquisitions in the consumer asset-backed space.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Evaluate credit and structural risks of potential investments;
• Identify and analyze key performance drivers across various asset classes;
• Conduct comprehensive research on different asset types;
• Perform data analysis to forecast key investment metrics and cashflows;
• Prepare investment memoranda for executive review and decision-making.

Attributes of the successful candidate:

• Strong quantitative skills and an interest in financial modeling;
• Excellent critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze situations and make informed decisions quickly;
• Curiosity about different asset types such as residential mortgages, auto loans, solar loans, student loans, unsecured personal loans, mortgage servicing rights (MSR), insurance-backed consumer assets and more;
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive;
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment;
• Proficient in Excel; familiarity with Tableau, SQL, SAS, etc. is a plus;
• Experience working with consumer loan data is preferred;
• Has strong written and verbal communication skills, especially about technical or financial matters;
• Can learn complex concepts quickly, then communicate them clearly and concisely;
• Bachelor's Degree with a strong quantitative base is required: Applied Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or related fields are preferred; 2+ years of relevant professional experience preferred
