Associate Production Manager

The Associate Production Manager in partnership with cross functional team (Merchandising, Design, Technical Design, etc.) managing the product development and production process for a given Nautica Men’s discounter classifications. The Associate Product Manager proactively seeks opportunities to elevate the product, achieve the financial goals of the category, and enhance operational efficiency.


Responsibilities:

• Develop, source and place programs on a seasonal basis, emphasizing quality and maintaining business plans

• Regularly meet with cross functional team throughout the line building process – maintain awareness of overall assortment and key items.

• Address issues related to initial pricing, production, fabric development and targets.

• Closely monitor production TNA (fits, approvals, etc.) and keep track and ensure the timeliness of all products

• Investigate ways to shorten lead-times and increase flexibility.

• Communicate and enforce Nautica’s production, quality, and delivery requirements with all suppliers.


Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Production/Product Development, preferably within a vertical or wholesale retail organization

• Prior experience independently managing product categories

• Clear and thorough understanding of the product development and product life cycle

• Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills

• Strong retail math and business acumen/financial skills

• Ability to negotiate costing and pricing with vendors

• Proficiency in MS Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel and Word

• Ability to multi-task and shift priorities

• Flexible, organized, team player

• Travel may be required, based on business needs.

• Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.

• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States


Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

• Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

• Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day

• Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day

• Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods

• Ability to reach at or below shoulder level

• Ability to lift up to 30lbs (sometimes required to lift/transport showroom sample parcels)


The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $75,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
