Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Pegasus Tech Ventures is currently seeking a highly motivated & results driven Business Development Manager, passionate about venture capital / technology startups to join its HQ in San Jose, California. We are a global VC firm headquartered in Silicon Valley. We manage 35+ funds, primarily for large global corporations, and invest into startups, then facilitate business development between the corporations & startups. As the primary driver of our fundraising efforts, you will play a critical role in securing new capital from corporate partners to fuel our investment activities. You will work closely with the executive team and play an instrumental role in identifying, cultivating, and closing investment opportunities. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of venture capital and make a significant impact on the growth and success of the firm.


Responsibilities


  • Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to attract and secure corporate partners for our venture capital funds
  • Conduct extensive market research to identify potential corporate investors and establish key relationships.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of potential investors through proactive outreach, networking, and attending industry events
  • Create compelling investment proposals and pitch presentations tailored to the specific needs and interests of potential investors
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop fundraising goals and timelines, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategic objectives
  • Manage due diligence processes, coordinating with legal, finance, and investment teams to ensure a seamless and efficient fundraising process
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing investors, providing regular updates and fostering ongoing engagement
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging opportunities to inform fundraising strategies and optimize investor engagement
  • Support other projects as needed


Qualifications


  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field. Having advanced degree is a plus
  • Having 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven track record of business development (successful fundraising experience a plus)
  • Deep understanding of the venture capital landscape and the ability to identify investment opportunities aligned with the company's strategic objectives
  • Exceptional networking, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create persuasive investment proposals and deliver compelling presentations
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Have deep passion and understanding of technology
  • Have strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to venture capital fundraising
  • Need to be able to work from the Silicon Valley headquarters office (Visa support available)
