Business Transformation Engagement Manager (Remote)

Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

First Citizens Bank is looking for an Engagement Manager in our team that drives complex transformation initiatives across the enterprise for senior executives, enabling the company to execute on our strategy and achieve business growth. The Engagement Manager will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and sustaining transformation initiatives that are top priorities for our senior executives.

This role reports to the Director of the Transformation team. This person should have the ability to design and manage implementation of complex transformation projects that span a range of cross-functional stakeholders, while clearly tracking progress and articulating updates directly to our executives.

Responsibilities

  • Support businesses and functions in designing and implementing 1-2 transformation projects at a time, to unlock the company’s growth ambitions
  • Manage intake and prioritization of project pipeline that will deliver value across the enterprise for our senior leaders
  • Serve as center of expertise for Marketing and enterprise-level transformation work, and work with senior executives, business unit and functional leaders to help define project needs and resolve pain points as they arise
  • Keep Director and other internal stakeholders updated on pulse of business and functions to anticipate project needs as they arise, identifying possible step improvements for Transformation team to implement as needed
  • Work closely with senior executives including (but not limited to): Head of Business Transformation, Chief Marketing Officer, business unit leaders, and functional leaders

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 10 years experience in Business Strategy, Project Planning, and Financial Services industry

OR

High School Diploma or GED 14 years experience in Business Strategy, Project Planning, and Financial Services industry

Additional Requirements

  • Financial Services or Management Consulting experience
  • Strategy experience: Experience in strategy or management consulting. Experience in change management, transformation, and operating model/org design will also be beneficial; strong preference for candidates operating at Engagement Manager / Manager / Project Leader level
  • MBA from a top business school or other graduate degree is preferred
  • Executive-level presence and communication style
  • The ability to develop senior-level relationships with support from Transformation team leaders; The ability to proactively develop, culture, and own mid-level relationships across the enterprise
  • The ability to independently drive workstream, achieving project deliverables and meeting deadlines
  • The ability to own end-to-end project management across the business and functions, including relationships with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Mastery of the “consulting toolkit” (research, quantitative analysis, qualitative synthesis, written / oral communication, practicality and effectiveness)
  • Comfort and facility with both quantitative and qualitative information

If hired in California, the base pay for this position is generally between $191,875 and $294,208. If hired in Colorado, the base pay for this position is generally between $175,875 and $269,675. If hired in DC, the base pay for this position is generally between $183,875 and $281,942. If hired in Hawaii, the base pay for this position is generally between $159,875 and $245,142. If hired in NY, the base pay for this position is generally between $175,875 and $269,675. If hired in Washington, the base pay for this position is generally between $167,875 and $257,408. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
