Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

  • Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance against key performance indicators.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts.

Accounting Operations:

  • Supervise the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and ensure the company's compliance.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular financial reports and analysis for management, identifying trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights for strategic decision-making.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Work closely with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations for cost optimization.

Mergers, Acquisitions, and Succession Planning:

  • Demonstrate experience with managing two different year ends for 2 separate companies.
  • Contribute expertise in mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, integration planning, and financial analysis.
  • Assist in the development and execution of succession planning strategies.

Team Management:

  • Lead and manage a team of up to 5 finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.

Audit Coordination:

  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process.
  • Address audit findings and implement corrective actions as needed.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred.
  2. Proven experience as a CFO, Controller, or in a similar financial leadership role.
  3. Strong understanding of financial regulations, accounting principles, and internal controls.
  4. Experience with managing two different year ends for 2 separate companies.
  5. Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and succession planning.
  6. Experience managing a team of up to 5 people.
  7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  8. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  9. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  10. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  11. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
