Job Description Summary: StevenDouglas has been retained by Las Mercedes Medical Centers to discover a top-quality Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join the senior management team. This COO will oversee day-to-day administrative and operational functions of Las Mercedes Medical Centers and is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing multi-site operations. The COO will provide leadership, department/unit oversight, direction, training, development implementation of strategic plans and will manage an efficient operation to achieve its goals, while also effectively collaborating with medical providers, office personnel, directors, managers and fellow executive team members. This position will report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the CEO and other members of the executive team to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and objectives.
Translate strategic goals into actionable plans and initiatives, ensuring alignment across all functional areas.
Work closely with other senior leaders and department heads to ensure alignment and collaboration across all functional areas.
Facilitate communication and coordination between departments to optimize efficiency and achieve shared goals.
Identify potential operational risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of technology systems and infrastructure to support operational needs, including information systems, facilities, and equipment.
Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, optimize supply chain processes, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
Work with the CFO to develop and manage operational budgets, monitor expenses, and optimize financial performance.
Provide leadership, direction, and support to operational teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
Communicate operational performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior management and other stakeholders through regular reporting and presentations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or related field: MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience in a senior executive role.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of regulations and best practices in operations management.
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Experience in Medicaid & Medicare
Bilingual (Spanish fluently/English)
Starting Salary: $300,000
