Communications Manager

**This role is fully remote but will require this individual to come onsite 2-3 times per month in Santa Barbara, CA. Candidates must be local to the Santa Barbara/Los Angeles Metropolitan area and open to going onsite on a monthly basis.**

Job Description:

Title: Communications Manager

Duration: 12-month contract

Type: Hybrid, fully remote other than requirement to come onsite 2-3 times per month

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• 4-6 years of experience of creating, developing, and implementing long and short-term strategic communication plans
• Knowledge in or comfortability learning how to use advanced zoom functionalities (webinars, breakout rooms, etc.)
• Background in higher education, government, healthcare, or experience supporting a large cybersecurity/network centralization project
• Experience planning large communications campaigns (writing, designing, scheduling, stakeholder analysis)
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and active listening

Nice to Have Skills and Experience:

• Understanding of technical applications including design concepts, various media, and applications
• Experience with graphic design and/or Canva

Job Description:

Insight Global's higher education client is looking for a Communications Manager to join the Project Management Office Team to support ongoing efforts for their cybersecurity investment project. This person will be developing templates for a communication plan regarding any network and mobile device outages or developments. The Communications Manager will be responsible for email, drupel, web page, calendar, and social media communications to the campus. They will also be producing content for multiple town halls, virtual and in person, for audiences of up to 500 people.

About the Team:

The communication manager will interface with other communications managers that are supporting ongoing projects at the university and will be responsible for making sure the campaigns are aligned. This role will also interface heavily with C-Suite and executives.

Compensation:

$50/hr to $83/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
