Controller, Sr. Director of Accounting -- Remote | WFH

We are a leader in onsite energy solutions supporting carbon-free electrification and transportation, is seeking a Senior Director of Accounting to lead and enhance our accounting function. As a part of EDF Renewables, we specialize in integrated solar, storage, EV charging, and microgrid systems tailored to meet our clients' energy and sustainability objectives through our X platform.

Location:

This role is available as 100% remote or hybrid, based out of our offices in Mountain View, CA, San Diego, CA, or New York, NY.

Responsibilities

Lead and enhance monthly/quarterly/annual close processes for a rapidly growing company with diverse service and product lines.

Oversee preparation and communication of quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for both internal management and external reporting.

Manage general ledger functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and maintaining high standards of accuracy.

Establish and maintain accounting policies, ensuring adherence to US GAAP.

Supervise cash flow planning and management, including oversight of large payables and approvals.

Manage accounting and operating system software, ensuring efficiency and reliability.

Develop and implement internal controls and procedures.

Act as primary liaison with external audit firms on technical accounting matters.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or finance; CPA license required. 10+ years of experience spanning public accounting, corporate accounting, operations, and controllership.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams. Experience with NetSuite is a plus.

Industry Experience: Background in construction or renewables sector, including exposure to construction job costing and software-as-a-service sales.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $216,500 annually, with eligibility for comprehensive health and welfare plans, 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off. Additional incentives may apply based on performance.

Supervision

Direct supervision of team members, including hiring, training, and performance management.

Physical Requirements

Primarily office environment with occasional field visits requiring standing and walking.
