We are seeking a skilled Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and controlling costs within our manufacturing operations to ensure optimal efficiency and profitability. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.
• Develop and maintain standard cost estimates for materials, labor, and overhead.
• Monitor actual costs against standard costs and investigate variances.
• Prepare monthly cost reports and provide analysis to management.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure accurate cost allocation and inventory valuation.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and cost-saving initiatives.
• Collaborate with purchasing and supply chain teams to optimize procurement processes and supplier relationships.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or other related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems. Ability to perform V-Lookups preferred.
• Manufacturing environment experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Work Environment:

The role is an in-office position in Greensboro, NC. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm ET.
