Customer Service Manager
Our client, a fast-growing Asia headquartered logistics and supply chain service provider is seeking a dynamic Customer Service Manager to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new opportunities.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Perform regular business reviews with key customers to ensure service excellence and address evolving requirements.
- Travel across European countries as needed to support business operations.
- Develop, manage, and maintain a reliable supplier network, including warehouse, trucking, and brokerage resources.
- Monitor market and competitive trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable contract terms.
- Proactively identify supply chain risks, resolve service or operational issues, and implement preventive measures.
- Act as a troubleshooting lead, maintaining open and proactive communication with customers to address any concerns.
- Manage and lead the local team, ensuring quality standards, effective team building, and problem resolution.
- Handle other locally assigned tasks in Europe as directed by the company leadership.
Qualifications
- Fluent in German (business-level proficiency preferred) and proficient in English for professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
- Familiar with import and export policies in EU, customs regulations and clearance, storage management processes and requirements.
- Willingness to travel across Germany to meet customers is a must.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional communication skills with a strong emphasis on teamwork, proactive thinking, problem-solving, and customer service excellence.
- A valid driving license is required for business travel purposes.
