Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Data Architecture and Management:
• Design, collaborate, implement, and maintain data architecture solutions that support business objectives and data strategy;
• Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, quality, and reliability;
• Maintain and update data infrastructure, including data warehouses, databases, and data lakes.
• Data Analysis & Integration:
• Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions;
• Integrate data from various sources to create comprehensive data solutions that meet stakeholder needs;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data integration strategies.
• Azure & SQL:
• Utilize Azure Services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database) to develop scalable data solutions;
• Employ SQL for data querying, analysis, and optimization of data models;
• Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data engineering;
• Recommend innovative solutions to improve system efficiency and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in Data Engineering and Architecture.
• Solid understanding of data analysis principles, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• Proficiency in Azure services, ADF, Azure SQL, SQL, and data integration tools.
• In-depth knowledge of relational and non-relational database management systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business insights, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently with interdepartmental teams and other internal stakeholders
• Demonstrates the qualities of “Hungry, Humble, and Smart”.

Preferred

• Master’s degree.
• Professional certification in data engineering (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate).
