Director of Business Develoment

Our client is a manufacturer in the Troy, Ohio area. They are seeking a Director of Sales to join their team on a full-time, direct-hire basis. This role will report to the Vice President, and the Director of Sales will be a key member on the division leadership team and will have a demonstrated track record of driving top line revenue growth. They are seeking an experienced business professional that can lead a high potential sales development team, develop and execute growth strategies, provide product support, participate in product launches, and establish appropriate relationships with key stakeholders. The successful candidate will lead all sales development activities within the division, support Long-Range Plan and Annual Plan creation by setting growth targets for all product lines. This position will work closely with sales teams, manufacturing operations, engineering, and marketing, as well as externally with dealers, rep groups, and National Accounts to establish strategies that result in profitable revenue growth.

The successful candidate will have strategic planning experience, be analytical, and understand P&L financial statements. In addition, the candidate will have a stable work history, shown a history of building relationships with customers/internal stakeholders and developing strategies to drive growth. The candidate selected must be able to travel about 30% of the time. This role will ultimately lead to a Divisional VP position for the right person.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Finance, or Engineering
  • Experience developing sales strategies.
  • Project management experience
  • P&L financial experience
  • Ability to understand technical specifications of manufactured products.
