Director of Business Development
Join a thriving SaaS start-up as the Director of Business Development. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the business development efforts of a cutting-edge company in the satellite operations industry. 🛰️ This role is essential for driving growth and expanding the market presence of their comprehensive platform, which allows clients to control their unique missions on a single, scalable platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the overall business development and sales strategy for the company's satellite ground operations software suite.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospects, partnerships, and new market segments.
- Establish and nurture strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and potentially government agencies.
- Achieve and exceed revenue and growth targets through effective sales leadership.
- Lead and grow a sales team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve individual and team targets.
- Collaborate with marketing stakeholders to develop and implement effective sales and marketing campaigns.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and negotiations to potential clients and partners.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the satellite market, including key players, technologies, and trends, backed by 5+ years of industry experience.
- Strategic Relationship Builder: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite executives, industry partners, and government officials.
- Results-Driven Mindset: Strategic thinker with a strong focus on results, able to develop and implement effective business development strategies in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with the technical aspects of satellite operations and related software solutions.
- Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team to achieve ambitious goals.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering; MBA preferred.
- Location & Travel Requirements: Based in the Denver area or willingness to relocate.
