Director of Finance - Healthcare

About this Role:

Insight Global is seeking a dynamic and technical leader to serve as the Director of Finance – IG Health. This role will be a key financial business partner to our healthcare staffing division. Within this purview, the Director will be responsible for partnering with the business and VP of Finance to build out best in class financial processes and drive growth in this exciting new market. Focus and scope will range from growth strategy to financial planning, pricing, internal controls and accounting processes. Initially, there will be a heavy emphasis on pricing process and project accounting to ensure profitability of new service offerings and the ability to track true financial performance of these service lines. The role reports to the VP of Finance – International and Professional Services. It is a hands-on role with high visibility requiring extensive partnership with not only sales leaders but also accounting and corporate support functions. The position will also require management of analysts and/or managers assigned to these service lines and be counted on to provide development and mentorship in conjunction with the VP of Finance. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, relying on acute attention to detail and innate business savvy to help guide leadership through uncertain markets and an increasingly complex operating environment.


What You’ll Do:

Drive Revenue Growth:

  • Work with our Pricing and Contracts teams to consult and inform on optimal template design and controls
  • Consult on appropriate fee structures and drive enhancement thereof
  • Work with leadership on in-flight RFPs
  • Develop negotiating ranges and tools to support sales personnel, as needed
  • Identify new revenue streams through a detailed understanding of project requirements and delivery capabilities


Maximize profitability and cash flow:

  • Identify areas to improve pricing to optimize profitability and cash flow within the context of current systems
  • Develop processes and reporting to provide transparency on true project performance
  • Partner with accounting to ensure accurate project and divisional financial reporting along with appropriate revenue recognition
  • Work with business leadership to develop systematic controls for ensuring accurate data capture, DOAs, managing SLAs and preventing problem projects before they materially impact profitability
  • Consult and advise on compensation policies that reinforce and align with company objectives


Direct Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Work cross-functionally to create processes to enable project cost tracking and holistic project-level financial reporting
  • Manage project financial workflows including pricing policy, escalations, and business cases
  • Direct the corresponding implications for accounting and billing, including appropriate Revenue Recognition, write-offs, expense allocation, etc.
  • Leverage the above to drive rolling (re)forecasts, scenario analysis budgets and associated variance analyses
  • Ensure an efficient monthly close process
  • Develop reliable divisional and program P&Ls, using these as tools to drive action and risk mitigation
  • Enable course-correction via proactive data analysis
  • Leverage sales team workflows, predictive models and analytics to enhance forecasting processes and better connect financial outcomes to the business
  • Optimize data workflows and improve management reporting access and reliability
  • Drive KPI and data governance within the team and across the company
  • Contribute to the development of a scalable on-demand planning model
  • Direct scenario planning for covered business lines and contribute to the long-term strategic planning process
  • Assess operational and HR KPIs and their impact on financial outcomes


Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years Finance experience, preferably in a healthcare or other staffing environment
  • Experience with global workforce development and mobility a plus
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrated through a track record of data-driven decision-making.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and analytical tools like Power BI or Tableau
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA, CMA or equivalent preferred
