Director of Manufacturing

We are partnering with a consumer goods contract manufacturer to find a Director of Manufacturing. This person will partner with the VP of Ops with the goal of scaling this business to double in size and revenue out of this facility. The Director of Manufacturing will lead 6 direct and 50 indirect reports across this 3 shift operation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective growth strategies and processes.
• Provide daily leadership and management to the production team.
• Plan and organize daily production and operational activities.
• Manage production and packaging, ensuring compliance with quality and environmental standards.
• Oversee inventory and ensure the availability of raw materials for production.
• Set and align goals, holding employees accountable for achieving them.
• Ensure high-quality production processes that meet customer needs.
• Collaborate with customer service and sales to address and resolve quality issues.
• Develop operational infrastructure to support rapid growth with the management team.
• Drive the production team to achieve goals and improve manufacturing operations.
• Generate, analyze, and communicate performance metrics and productivity data.
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and ensure compliance with safety regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry or related
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership position
• 3+ years of experience working in a GMP environment
• History of implementing KPI’s across manufacturing
• Experience in a contract manufacturing/customer directed supply chain environment
