Hours: Monday through Thursday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Friday 11:00 am to 6:00 pm

Job Summary
Under the guidance of the Dean of the Library, this role is responsible for planning and administering library services. These duties are performed either independently or collaboratively with other librarians. An essential aspect of this position is fostering and strengthening relationships with students, faculty, and specific service departments.

- Acts as the library liaison to a specific college or program area(s) within the University.
- Delivers live instruction (e.g., webinars, orientation sessions, presentations) on library resources through online platforms.
- Creates, manages, and distributes library materials, including research guides, video tutorials, task learning guides, and materials for live presentations.
- Provides reference services to remote learners via chat, phone, email, and screen-share for comprehensive research.
- Manages usage data (surveys, references, LibGuides, and tutorials) for end-of-year reports.
- Maintains professional growth and development by participating in professional organizations, reading literature, and attending workshops.
- Contributes to the effectiveness and success of the library by undertaking a range of tasks and projects.
- Completes work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner and is conscientious about assignments.
- Communicates effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside of the university.
- Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain a constructive working environment.

Knowledge
- Education and Training - Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
- Communications and Media - Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
- Copyright - Knowledge of copyright principles as they relate to online instructional design.
- Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

- Master of Library Science or Master of Library and Information Science required.
- Office equipment including computers, telephones, and printers.
- Software including Microsoft Office, Blackboard, and internal database software.
- Software including Camtasia, LibGuides, and LibraryH3lp platform.
- Reliable and secure internet is required for this position.
