Tellus Driver Compliance Officer will oversee all drivers who operate a Tellus vehicle. Position involves daily interaction with driver compliance vendor(s), management of telematics used in Tellus' vehicle fleet, research and dissemination of regulations involving Federal Motor Carriers Safety Administration, and driver compliance.
Summary Of Responsibilities
Serve as subject matter expert on DOT Rule sets, Hours-of-Service relating to driver logs, driver behavior practices, and responsible for the conversion of telemetric data into constructive best practices.
Responsible for the daily enforcement of driver compliance to FMCSA regulations and management of driver safety. Maintain the driver database and compliance in the JJ Keller portal
Responsible for monitoring vehicle health and performance for all fleet vehicles. Identification of current and future asset acquisitions, transfers or removals.
Constantly monitors telematics to correct, prevent and maintain equipment performance
Use data obtained from telematics to align drivers with DOT compliance
Communicate with Tellus' partners to maintain up-to-date driver awareness and efficiency
Research, review, and implement necessary changes relating to FMCSA regulations
Primarily performs office and non-manual work. Routinely exercises independence and discretion as part of their duties.
Skills & Competencies
Familiarity of DOT and FMSCA regulations
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) applications
Strong communication skills
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing protocols and standard operating procedures
Demonstrated experience educating supervisors in driver leadership
Prior experience in analytics graphical construction
Prior experience in risk management
Prior experience with information systems
Understanding and interpretation of telematics data
Video recording usage
Work across multiple locations simultaneously
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Minimum Of Three To Five Years Of Related Experience
DOT Certification strongly preferred
