The Sporting News Charlotte, NC

About Your New Role

Do you enjoy writing? Are you interested in a career in sports digital media partnerships? The Sporting News is seeking ambitious, motivated and creative recent college graduates for a paid six-month internship from August 2024 - February 2025. The Affiliate and Commercial content team supports all of SN’s global partnerships with original editorial content supporting rights holders, tickets, retail, betting and more. This is a hands-on writing role that will help our global team develop and scale new brand opportunities. You’ll play a direct role in shaping the direction of SN’s growing international affiliate team.

Though predominantly across editorial, you’ll also work closely with our sales and commercial team, researching ad campaigns and developing additional sales prospects pipelines. You’ll learn how to prospect brands and connect them to SN’s overall value proposition.

You’ll gain hands-on experience from our team to learn how we collaborate with partners, apply SEO best practices around tentpole events, and drive meaningful value for the biggest sporting events of the year. You’ll not only play a pivotal role in helping shape the present and future but also have the opportunity to pitch SN leadership on a bespoke partnership activation for 2025.
