Executive Director (Full-Time)

Bel Inizio is a non profit helping women in recovery from addiction and abuse build self-confidence and life skills though fitness, nutrition, goal setting and completing their first 5K race.

Core Responsibilities

The Executive Director (ED)  will have a significant impact on all aspects of leadership in Bel Inizio. The ED will report to the Bel Inizio Board of Directors and work collaboratively with our partner agencies. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading and managing the Program Director and Program Manager, providing oversight of program design and implementation while focusing attention on developing strategies to supplement/support and scale existing fundraising events and activities. The focus of this job is on achieving results which are aligned with the larger picture of the organization and Bel Inizio’s strategic goals. The right person for this position will have a leadership style that is firm and goal oriented, and yet motivates and engages others in an enthusiastic way. The job requires someone who can act independently and handle a variety of challenges. This person must be willing to fully commit to Bel Inizio’s mission and vision and high standards of achievement with an emphasis on results, and effective systems that achieve results through and with our board of directors, staff, and volunteers, rather than on the details of the implementation.   

Leadership and Management

The Executive Director will be responsible for recruiting, leading, and managing staff members to maintain and uphold Bel Inizio’s mission, policies, and procedures. The ED will be responsible for creating, managing, and continually improving Bel Inizio’s culture for the staff and the organization.

Stakeholder communication

The Executive Director will communicate and work directly with board members, donors, agency staff and clients with the goal of developing and maintaining healthy ongoing relationships.

Event planning and support

Bel Inizio has three major, and one minor fundraising events each year. The first is the Soul to Sole Dinner held in May.  The Executive Director will coordinate with the committee and ensure critical deadlines are met.

The second is the Giving Thanks 5K/10K. The race will be held in November on the weekend before Thanksgiving. The Executive Director will coordinate with the committee and ensure critical deadlines are met.

The third is the Birdies for Bel Inizio Golf Tournament. The golf tournament is held in September. The Executive Director does not have direct involvement in the event but is expected to attend the event the day of and coordinate with the committee chairs on the luncheon and awards presentation.

The final fundraising event is Trivia for Triumph held in October. The Executive Director is an active committee member to ensure success of the event.
