Objectives:

Collaborate with CEO and department heads in developing short-term and long-term financial plans and forecasts to guide the organization's strategic decisions and ensure financial stability.

Ensure efficient utilization of financial resources and implement cost control measures and budgetary discipline to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.

Monitor financial performance against budgets and benchmarks, and take corrective actions as needed to achieve financial goals.

Provide strategic financial advice and support to senior management and other departments to facilitate informed decision-making.


Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
  2. Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial transactions.


Cash Flow Management:

  1. Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity.
  2. Develop cash flow forecasts and strategies to optimize working capital.
  3. Manage banking relationships.


Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  1. Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  2. Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
  3. Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.


Bank Reconciliation:

  1. Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  2. Monitor bank transactions and report any inconsistencies.


Financial Reporting:

  1. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Prepare and distribute financial reports and statements.
  2. Oversee the preparation of accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
  3. Provide support during audits and financial reviews.


Budgeting and Cost Management:

  1. Work with the CEO and department heads to create departmental and project-based budgets.
  2. Lead the annual budgeting process, working with department heads to prepare budgets.
  3. Monitor and analyze budget variances and recommend corrective actions.
  4. Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.


Financial Planning and Analysis:

  1. Develop, implement, and manage the company’s financial planning and analysis functions.
  2. Create detailed financial models and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
  3. Analyze financial performance and provide insights to senior management.


Compliance and Risk Management:

  1. Ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements.
  2. Coordinate internal and external audits and manage auditor relationships.
  3. Implement and maintain robust internal controls and risk management processes.


Strategic Financial Leadership:

  1. Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and senior management team.
  2. Evaluate and advise on the financial impact of business decisions.
  3. Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.


Team Leadership and Development:

  1. Lead, mentor, and develop a finance team as we grow.
  2. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.


All other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and financial analysis.
  • Expert in QuickBooks and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, ethics, and dependability.
