Summary: Sola/Essential is a fast growing CPG company with the long-term vision to build a next-generation family of the best food brands and supporting supply-chain infrastructure across the globe. Joining our team as a Finance Manager focused on helping generate demand, you will play a pivotal role in steering the financial direction and profitability with the Marketing and Sales teams. This position requires a unique blend of financial acumen, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the consumer packaged goods sales and marketing landscape. You will provide critical financial insights and support to key decision-makers, including the President and Senior Vice Presidents of the departments, ensuring the sustainable growth of our brands. Strong interaction with other departments within company.


This is mainly a remote position, but will be based in the Denver, CO area. Only candidates in the Denver area will be considered. The position will require occasional travel.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the financial forecasting, budgeting, and analysis for sales operations, product innovation, and new business ventures. Responsible for the financial top line, SG&A forecast, and setting sales targets by region, customer, and SKU with leadership team.


  • Profitability Management: Oversee the management of pricing strategies, trade allowances, slotting fees, demonstration costs, broker commissions, and SG&A expenses to maximize sales profitability.


  • Sales Reporting and Integration: Manage all aspects of sales reporting, develop presentations for the Board of Directors, and ensure seamless integration of sales data into ERP with the utilization of tools such as PBI, MS SharePoint, and Power Automate.


  • Market Analysis and Presentation Creation: Craft compelling presentations to articulate the sales narrative to the sales leadership, leveraging consumption data and retailer-specific insights to highlight market share achievements and sales growth opportunities.


  • Process Improvement: Lead initiatives for process enhancement in new item launches, packaging design, sample submissions, and the management of sales assets. Drive the implementation tools to streamline the sales order to invoicing process.


Qualifications:


  • Proven experience in financial reporting, market research, business planning, and presentation development, preferably within the food, gourmet, or CPG sectors.


  • Expertise in leading process improvement projects with proficiency in MS SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, and Teams.


  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial data effectively.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field. MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
