FP&A Manager

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an intellectually curious and driven individual to join our FP&A team. The group is responsible for informing company strategy, owning planning and forecasting, and performing financial analyses throughout the company to drive critical decision-making. This Manager level role will report to the VP of FP&A & Operations Finance for Ohmium and be the finance business partner for the Sales, Strategy & Marketing, and other Operating Leaders within the company. This individual will also work directly with the CFO.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Partners with the heads of Sales, Strategy & Marketing, and other Operating Leaders and provides them financial analysis and insights to achieve their financial commitments Owns the FP&A calendar, which includes setting department-level forecasts on an annual basis, reporting and providing analysis on variances, ensuring maintenance of working capital goals, and forecasting cash and working capital needs Owns the bottoms-up rolling ten quarter corporate forecast, and appropriate scenario planning Owns the consolidated operating model for the company and clearly communicates financial results, planning expectations, and outcomes Partners with Finance leadership to prepare board materials, presentations, and monthly reporting Collaborates as part of the Finance leadership team to build the financial infrastructure to support the company’s current and future business requirements, including system solutions, to streamline and automate our internal processes and reporting Develops metrics to track business unit-specific and company-wide trends, identify risks and opportunities, provide recommendations, and collaborate across all levels with a bias towards driving action Enables an analytical, financial approach to influence strategic decision-making across the company Leads, supports, or represents Finance for other special projects as needed (e.g., new facility construction, capacity planning, capital raises, M&A, new product launches, etc.)


LOCATION, TRAVEL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work location is the Ohmium US, CA (bay-area) office in Newark
  • Must be willing to occasionally interface with time different time zones such as India, EU

FORMAL EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS OR EQUIVALENT

  • Bachelor’s degree required; business, accounting, finance, management, or economics preferred
  • Advanced business degree in finance, accounting, or management preferred

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in finance, financial modeling, or accounting including strategic planning and decision making, required
  • Large and/or public company FP&A experience to bring best practices to Ohmium preferred
  • Experience in the energy, industrial equipment, technology hardware, or manufacturing sector preferred
  • Previous experience working remotely a plus


Skills/Abilities

  • Proficient with MS Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Office Suite
  • Strong foundation in corporate finance and proficient in GAAP
  • Proficient with accounting software, Dynamics and Business Central is a plus
  • Working experience with financial planning software
  • Demonstrated experience in modeling, analysis, and research
  • Past success leading teams, effectively working cross-functionally, demonstrating strong people skills, and consensus building
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)


POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

Full time regular employee working at least forty (40) hours per week or such other time on weekends or evenings as is required.
