Front Desk Receptionist

Front Desk Director (Bilingual preferred) (New Orleans)

$14-18/hr DOE

Locally owned Apartment Management Company is a large and growing property management company looking for a dynamic and hard working receptionist to join our company. This is an entry level position and a great opportunity to gain rapid experience in an ever changing great and unique city.

  • Receive and properly process all incoming calls; which may include screening, proper routing, and monitoring of calls on hold.
  • Greet guests in a friendly manor and assist as needed
  • Market properties on CL and other property sites
  • Create ads for properties
  • Update sales leads in Property Base Sales Force database
  • Assist with processing incoming mail for property management business, including payment receipts, notices and inspections. Ensure items are disseminated timely and accurately to managers
  • Receive and make copies of all other incoming faxes; distribute faxes to the proper individuals and/or departments in a timely and consistent manner throughout the day

Create and maintain a calendar of all events for a given month; distribute calendar at the first of each month to all internal e-mail recipients.

  • Responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of all office equipment. Assure that all service calls to repair and/or maintain equipment are placed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Track and order office supplies on a monthly/as needed basis
  • Imprint correct postage on out-going mail on a daily basis.
  • Assists Accounts Receivable as needed
  • Monitor cameras and alert management to any unusual activities and/or people.
  • Maintain front office and kitchen organization.
  • Provide necessary staff support as needed

Skills

  • Experience with a multi-line phone system
  • Excellent Communication skills and professional demeanor
  • 12 to 18 months in a formal receptionist position a plus
  • Familiarity with various types of office equipment
  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and other software
  • Proficient in the use of Outlook and all features of Outlook
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Willingness to take on multiple responsibilities outside the formal job description
  • Ability to work with all departments efficiently and effectively

Starting off salary based on experience plus leasing commissions with performance based bonus on a biannual schedule after initial 90 day review. Desire for job advancement is a MUST.
