Our client, a well-established, market-leading construction group, is recruiting a Group Head of Payroll to join and lead their payroll team in Dublin. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and driving the Group payroll strategy. This role will work closely alongside senior stakeholders and will have a strong influence in managing Group payroll operations.


The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be adept at liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, effectively fostering relationships across the business. This role requires multi-jurisdictional payroll experience as well as previous experience managing a payroll team and is an excellent opportunity for a senior payroll professional looking to take the next step up in their career.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and support the payroll team
  • Oversee processing of Group payrolls
  • Compile payroll-related information and co-ordinate with third party payroll provider
  • Reconcile and post payroll related activities to GL
  • Manage and resolve payroll related queries across the Group
  • Ensure regulatory requirements are met and implemented for multiple jurisdictions
  • Work closely alongside multiple internal stakeholders on process and policy improvement
  • Active involvement in Group payroll decision making by providing industry expertise
  • Lead the implementation of regional payroll solutions and integration with stakeholders
  • Demonstrate proactive and creative approach to achieving operational goals and objectives by identifying resources, assessing opportunities, solution implementation etc


Key Skills

  • 7+ years experience with multi-jurisdictional payroll
  • Previous payroll team management/leadership experience
  • IPASS qualified
  • Knowledge of SAP and Success Factors is highly advantageous
  • Track record in the continuous improvement of systems, initiatives and processes etc
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with strong communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
