Head of Product

About the role

bitewell is seeking an experienced Head of Product w/ proven track record of execution to join our team. You’re a full-stack product expert: You will own the product roadmap and strategy with execs and you will drive that strategy forward with the delivery teams. You will be joining a lean company and collaborate with tech, design, operations and nutrition while reporting directly to the COO. You think in both incremental improvements as well as strategic big bets. You’re outcome-oriented and team-focused, and you thrive working together to achieve goals. Passion for nutrition, wellness, or health spaces is required; experience is nice to have.

This role will work out of our Denver HQ on a hybrid schedule, with in-office days Tuesday-Thursday.

Key Functions

• Own the product function end-to-end
• Synthesize company vision into an actionable strategy and product roadmap
• Collaborate with internal and external various stakeholders to solve complex problems, and produce high-quality results
• Relentlessly and ruthlessly prioritize competing product priorities across multiple products and teams
• Work with Head of Engineering and Design to ensure features are scoped for desirability, viability, feasibility, and usability
• Communicate product priorities and progress as well as drive clarity and context
• Over time, manage other PMs as the team grows; act as an advocate for the product org

Requirements

• 7+ years of product experience with at least 5 years of B2B experience; B2B2C is a huge plus
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills
• Excellent written and oral communication, ability to speak to a variety of audiences
• Strong analytical, data, and troubleshooting skills - everything from synthesizing data to diving into individual records.
• A sense of ownership: You run to trouble when you see it
• Strong relationship builder
• Willingness to get your hands dirty at times, writing stories or sketching wireframes
• Comfortable with the ambiguity and pace of an early stage startup
