About The Role

We are looking for an HR Generalist responsible for providing HR support to local and remote employees. This person will also partner with business leaders to meet objectives that provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation and recruitment/employment.


Responsibilities

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings and events, managing end-to-end coordination, catering, and onsite logistics.
  • Manage weekly onboarding communication for employees new to the division.
  • SharePoint Site Maintenance: ensuring the calendar of events is up-to-date and managing content.
  • Create and maintain newsletters, contributing to the team's communication strategy.
  • General Operational/Admin Support: Provide support to employees on corporate policies, procurement, recruiting, space and facilities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP a plus.
  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A self-motivated, proactive, fearless, and positive attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Actively contribute to our culture of continuous improvement
  • Strong communication including group facilitation and presentation skills.
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
