BEPC is looking for an Infrastructure and Operations Lead in Austin, TX to join our fast-growing team of consultants!
W2 Contract: 7 months with opportunities for extensions based on business needs and performance.
Pay Range: $70-75/hr. plus we offer Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance benefits!
Schedule: M-F, 8-5, remote position but must reside in Austin, TX!!!

Job Summary:
Infrastructure and Operations Lead. Performs highly advanced (senior-level) managerial work administering daily operations and activities of TIERS Operations and reports to the Director of TIERS Operations. Work involves establishing goals and objectives for maintaining infrastructure, security and Operations. Supervises multiple teams and service providers to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
- Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
- Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports.
- Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program.
- Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
Required Skills:
- 8 years of experience with overseeing Data Center services providers for compute and storage supporting 24/7 environments. Experience overseeing infrastructure and operations resources.
- 8 years of experience establishing goals and objectives for maintaining the infrastructure, security, and Operation.
- 8 years of experience with technical implementation, scheduling, assessing problems, and communicating up to management. Oversees infrastructure changes.
- 8 years of high level of technical expertise and a comprehensive understanding of data center operations to support critical functions.
- 8 years of Lead, plans, and assigns work for Server Support, Physical Database, and application teams that support Operation systems and databases.
- 8 years of assisting IT manager with oversight of two Data Center Services providers which are responsible for supporting computing, security, and storage components.
- 8 years of working closely with the Data Center Services providers and Systems Architects to develop the Technology Roadmap Plan and set a strategic path for infrastructure and operations
- 8 years overseeing environment expansion, migrations, modernizations for Storage/Compute/Network/Application systems. Responsible for maintaining detailed industry knowledge, especially around Cloud, and integrate those to internal technical domain knowledge.
- 8 years of overseeing multiple audits annually. Leads major projects for Operations which include migrations of Data Center hardware and software upgrades. Review legislative and business requirements for impact to TIERS. As member of the TIERS Change Cont.
- 8 years of experience reviewing and approving Operations documentation which includes the Security Plan, Disaster Recovery Plan, Operational Procedures and Monthly Maintenance plan.
- 8 years of providing technical expertise, as a member of the Operations management team, on changes with ecosystem, including the design and development of new technology, security events, and root cause analysis of all severity events.
- 8 years of experience with 24/7 on call support.
Preferred Skills:
- 5 years of experience with DevOps and DevOp tools.
- 4 years of experience in delivering technical training in cloud‐ based technology is a plus.
- 4 years of experience with ITIL - ticketing using Remedy and ServiceNow.
- 3 years of experience managing Archer GRC.
