Position: International Business Strategy Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated International Business Strategy Manager to join our International Business Strategy team. This role will analyze market trends and evaluate industry dynamics on a global scale. The successful incumbent will use their understanding of international relations and business to provide insights that contribute to the development of strategic plans and decision-making processes.
Key accountabilities
Market Analysis:
• Conduct comprehensive research on global markets to identify key trends, opportunities, and threats.
• Analyze economic indicators, consumer behaviour, and regulatory factors affecting international markets.
Competitor Analysis:
• Conduct comprehensive analysis of competitors in terms of growth, performance, and services
Strategy Development:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance international business strategies aligned with BDO’s goals.
• Provide strategic recommendations based on market insights and competitive analysis.
Global Narrative Development:
• Develop a compelling global narrative that aligns with BDO’s mission, values, and strategic objectives.
• Create communication strategies that effectively convey the organization's story on the global stage.
Industry Insights:
• Stay abreast of industry developments, regulations, and emerging trends to inform strategic decision[1]making.
• Share industry insights with internal teams and incorporate findings into business strategies.
Risk Assessment:
• Identify and assess potential risks associated with international markets, proposing mitigation strategies.
• Regularly review and update risk assessments to ensure ongoing strategic relevance.
Data-driven Decision Making:
• Utilize data analytics to derive actionable insights and support informed decision-making.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of implemented strategies.
Qualifications
• MSc or MBA preferred
• Fluent in English
• At least 5 years management consulting experience or experience in strategy development within a large multinational firm
• Excellent Powerpoint and Excel skills. Knowledge of PowerBI preferred. Comfortable working with large amounts of data
• Advanced research skills. Knowledge of market data providers a plus
• Excellent project management and communication skills, comfortable in delivering presentations to senior stakeholders
