Junior Project Manager

Who are we looking for?

As a member of CAPTRUST’s Project Management team, the Associate Project Manager will assist in overseeing and coordinating projects within the organization. This role involves collaborating with various teams, tracking project progress, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while supporting senior project managers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the planning and implementation of projects.
• Collect, organize, and refine project requirements.
• Maintain the product backlog with user stories and defects.
• Track project progress, milestones, and deliverables.
• Communicate with stakeholders to keep them informed of project status and any issues that may arise.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Help manage project budgets and ensure financial objectives are met.
• Facilitate the resolution of project-related issues and escalate when necessary.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and identify areas for improving project management efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-3+ years of applicable experience.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with all levels of staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Understanding of CRM applications (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics).
• Experience in the investment industry.
• Ability to handle multiple work streams and adapt to a constantly changing environment.
• Experience with Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps.
• QA/testing knowledge.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.
