Today, Piedmont Plastics is currently hiring for a Learning and Organizational Development Specialist at our home office in Charlotte, NC.
What are we looking for?
- An enthusiastic team player who can creatively translate complex information into engaging training that supports organizational development and enhances the knowledge of our employees
- Experience designing leadership development and training initiatives in an environment where priorities can change
- Ability to work well with others, on the training team and across the organization

Course Development
- Meet with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and senior leadership to analyze and design solutions for instructional opportunities
- Partner with SME’s and senior leadership to create learning tools using video editing software such as Captivate and/or Camtasia as well as and Microsoft Office applications
- Implement learning materials throughout the organization while coordinating with various change management groups, SME’s, and senior leadership
- Measure training effectiveness and ROI, address feedback from participants, and report findings to the design group to make necessary changes
- Support the Training Content Specialist (TCS) and LODM to design, develop, and coordinate product training
- Assume responsibility for the creation and delivery of a sales training curriculum and written procedures to support all sales training activities
- Create and deliver sales training with the assistance of Home Office, branch, and regional management for individuals as needed
- Work with Market Specialists, suppliers, and subject matter experts to create training on selling skills, products, applications, and market specific education
- Operate as the primary sales trainer for the organization and includes other qualified trainers (internal or outsourced) when necessary
- Ensure all sales training is reported and documented properly to analyze return on investment
- Be responsible for creating and delivery of training materials such as presentations and videos to deliver to various size audiences either in person or via recording
- Continuously seek and support new approaches, practices, and processes to improve the efficiency of sales training
- Plan and execute onboarding training of new Sales Representatives with the skills, tools, and knowledge needed to succeed within the organization and advance towards their goals
- Keep current on products, services, and key markets to thoroughly train sales staff by working with Market Specialists, managers, and suppliers
- A complete understanding of Adult Learning Theory
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including instructional, facilitation and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with SME’s, stakeholders, and supplier partners
- Proven project management experience with the ability to prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects with tight deadlines
- The ability to maintain and continually expand knowledge of new learning approaches, technologies, and tools through ongoing research and experimentation.
