The Mystery Players, Inc. seeks to contract a new freelance Marketing Specialist starting as soon as July 1, 2024. Founded in 2023, we are a live entertainment company based in New York City working mostly in immersive-interactive musical mystery performances and events. The new contractor will inherit the work of the previous contractor, and it is our hope that they will take our marketing to the next level.
The Marketing Specialist is expected to
Build and maintain our social media presence, currently focused on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook;
Engage with followers across social media platforms;
Coordinate content creation with the creative team and talent, including gathering rehearsal and show footage, conducting Q&As, orchestrating social media takeovers, etc.;
Maintain a cohesive brand identity across marketing materials;
Assist with website maintenance and development;
Aid in maintaining our presence on booking websites such as GigSalad and The Bash;
Help develop and execute marketing plans for public shows (social media, print media, press releases, email campaigns, etc.) and attracting private clients (promotions, highlighting private offerings, etc.);
Attend rehearsals and performances as needed to create content and become familiar with us and our brand; and
Assist with planning, developing, and executing marketing strategies.
