Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a MicroLED Vice President at Seoul Semiconductor. The MicroLED Vice President will be responsible for overseeing the development and commercialization of MicroLED technology for various applications. This includes leading the MicroLED research and development team, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing the product roadmap, and establishing strategic partnerships. The MicroLED Vice President will also be responsible for driving innovation, ensuring product quality and performance, and contributing to business growth.
Job Scope and Responsibilities:
To have a close interaction and correspondence with end customers
To take an initiation of the business and contribute to the expansion as well
To lead extensive cooperation with Micro LED Supply Chain
To work closely with key partner companies with the supply chain defined
To manage & coordinate Sales Forecast visibility to eventually sustain a robust sales growth
To manage his/her (local) team building and alignment of the team operation
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field (advanced degree preferred)
Experiences in Mini or Micro LED & module sales or purchase at least 5 years – preferably more than 8 years with team leading experience
Deep understanding of end customer applications with Micro LED (Digital signage, TV, wearable device, AR or MR)
Experiences in working together with partnering companies
Strong knowledge of LED industry trends, market dynamics, and customer requirements
Expertise in semiconductor manufacturing processes and technologies
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams
Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
This position will require frequent domestic & regular oversea travel and extended stay per travel
Other Considerations:
Previous experience in following companies will be highly preferred: Osram, Sannan, Sony, TCL, Playnitride, CCS Projects, Sony, Samsung, Apple and Microsoft.
